To access the configuration options: double click on FITS in Format Explorer, or click the Edit Preferences button inside the FITS windows (bottom right corner).

Default input range of floating point values that are used to interpret pixel sample values when loading 32-bit and 64-bit floating point FITS images is [0,1] , but any nonempty arbitrary range can be specified.

A Floating Point Out Of Range Policy can be specified. With this can be decided how to handle situations where a read floating point FITS image contains out-of-range pixel sample values.

Users of software applications that generate nonstandard FITS files must select "Cleanup header keyword" to avoid incompatibilities and repair wrong headers automatically in PixInsight. More...
